Made in 2002 it shows an incredibly detailed sculpture of Geppetto's workbench. Third sculpture in the Signature Series and features the rarely portrayed Pinocchio as a marionette, before he has been brought to life by the Blue Fairy. Figaro (the cat) and Cleo (the goldfish) are also included in the scene. Geppetto is a separate figure that is not connected to the large base like the rest of the characters.
He has his own special place inside of the styrofoam packing. The coloring and detail of this piece are exquisite! As a unique "finishing touch, " the workbench's outside wall is adorned with the Stromboli poster seen in a later scene in the film.
There's also a little cuckoo clock on the outside left wall of the scene. Jiminy Cricket, the clock parts, tools, wood shavings, vise handles and handles on the pots are made of pewter. The strings are made of metal.
It is a Numbered Limited Edition (NLE) of only 1,000 pieces and this is piece 894/1000. Only 1,000 of these were made, it is extremely hard to find any online. I've looked and can't find any! The sculpture is large, measuring approx. It's about 9 1/2 high.
It's 9 1/4" deep at its deepest part and Geppetto stands 7" high. The box is in excellent condition. Comes from a smoke free/pet free home. PLEASE NOTE- We have 100's of different WDCC figurines, including many from Pinocchio, in their original boxes with COA's etc.
