Disney Classics Snow White Grumpy w Pipe Organ'HUMPH' #1028552 Box & COA. RARE

Beautiful figure of Grumpy with his pipe organ. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: Grumpy (1995). Painted porcelain figure and painted resin organ, organ is 7.25" height, Grumpy 4.5" height. This two-piece animation art sculpture set of Grumpy playing his elaborate pipe organ is based on a scene in Walt Disney's first animated feature film in which Snow White and the Dwarfs dance and sing in the film's great musical number. And features Grumpy providing much of the music for the occasion while at the same time scowling in dislike festive goings-on. The organ is remarkably detailed with animals in relief on the wood-like surface and pipes resembling totem poles with frogs, owls, fish, rabbits and a baby bird in a nest. This set was issued in August 1995 in an open edition that was retired in May 2004.

The first year 1995 Trowel Production Mark appears on the underside of the organ and Grumpy figure along with the WDCC backstamp and title. Artist Kent Melton created the original sculpture from which this porcelain figure was produced.
